Homework May 3rd

Hi all,  

We only have a short week this week for homework. 

Today the readers went home, so read the allocated pages and discuss what is going on, using the questions given on the little booklet. 

You can also practice the next few words on the list of words for The Picnic (this was sent home last week)

Handwriting books are different for everyone, so just complete any unfinished page for homework each night. If you are at the end of the book you can check to see if you missed any pages.

New sounds and tricky words for December!

Happy December everybody! The children are doing very well with their sounds and blending and we will be going over these during the next couple of weeks. Our first sound this week is 'f'.     The formation rhyme for this sound is;  'Curve at the sky, turn and dive down, bump the line and cross.' The next sound we will be learning is 'b'     The formation rhyme for this sound is;  'Dive down, swim up to the middle, curve around and stop.' We have two tricky words this week so just do your best to learn both of them. Come on in to the Belmayne Restaurant!

The children have been learning about the restaurant in Aistear over the last two weeks, as well as creating wonderful art by the French artist Henri Matisse, exploring magnets and designing and building their own restaurants and French landmarks.  Have a look at all the things they've been getting up to!
