Today we learned all about the sound...

Our rhyme for this sound goes like this - 'Curve around, up like a helicopter, bump, back down and kick.' We made sure to check our classroom for things beginning with the 'a' sound so you could have a look around and see if you can spot anything beginning with 'a' outside school! We have also been practicing our tricky word, 'the', and trying to find it hiding in different places around the classroom!

At Home in Aistear!

The children were learning all about the 'Home' in Aistear over the last two weeks. They talked about themselves, their families, their homes and met our new Aistear friend, Beebot! The Beebot is a 'coding robot' that can be used in a huge amount of ways to teach many topics and already the children are having great fun with it, while learning a vast amount of vocabulary linked to each topic.
They also built their dream home, made family members and houses out of playdoh, painted their 'hidden names' and played with small houses and toys from the home.
Take a look at what some of the children got up to 'At Home'!
