Halloween Dress Up Day and Happy Mid Term!

The children all looked fantastic today for our Halloween dress up day. Everyone made such an effort and I couldn't even recognise some of the children! We had a great day today, making pumpkin and skeleton art, playing in our costumes and going to different tables in our room to do Spooky Halloween activities.

Well done to Riley in our class who won the best costume in Junior Infants for dressing up as the elderly man from the film 'Up'!

Here's some Halloween 'selfies' that we took with Maria, we loved these!

And here we are making our skeleton art, very spooky!

Some of us loved playing at the gooey, slimy sensory table but some of us weren't so keen!

Well done to everyone on working so hard for the first half of Term 1. You've done great listening and have really settled in, great work!

Happy Halloween and have a lovely mid-term break!

Christmas Play Music

Christmas Play Music Hi everyone,  Here are the songs we need to learn for our Christmas show.  We need costumes for elves, mice, cat, dog, fairy, doll, teddy, superhero, Santa and Mrs Santa.  We can do a lot with face paint and coloured clothes but if anyone has anything that might suit these characters, please let us know! The stockings were hung By the chimney with care In the hopes that St Nicholas Soon would be there. But the family were sick They were struck down with flu And Christmas was cancelled What else could they do? But Mrs Saint Nick had other ideas And quickly she gathered her team They created Christmas all through the house As though it took place in a dream. So in came St Nicholas Our Santa by name And Christmas was ready So that's why he came....

The sound of drums!

The whole of Belmayne E.T have been having great fun learning how to play the drums this week!  The children got to play lots of different drums and bells, using drumsticks. They were all very excited and as you might guess from some of their expressions, I think we may already have some children in our class who would love to learn this instrument! 😁
