Christmas Play Music

Hi everyone,

Here are the songs we need to learn for our Christmas show.

We need costumes for elves, mice, cat, dog, fairy, doll, teddy, superhero, Santa and Mrs Santa.

We can do a lot with face paint and coloured clothes but if anyone has anything that might suit these characters, please let us know!

Twas the Night Before Christmas Poem

‘Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the house
Not a creature was stirring
Not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung
By the chimney with care
In the hopes that St Nicholas
Soon would be there.
But the family were sick
They were struck down with flu
And Christmas was cancelled
What else could they do?
But Mrs Saint Nick had other ideas
And quickly she gathered her team
They created Christmas all through the house
As though it took place in a dream.
So in came St Nicholas
Our Santa by name
And Christmas was ready
So that's why he came.
He was chubby and plump,
a right jolly old elf,
and I laughed when I saw him,
in spite of myself.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

The next sound we will be learning is 'b'     The formation rhyme for this sound is;  'Dive down, swim up to the middle, curve around and stop.' We have two tricky words this week so just do your best to learn both of them. They are:         are            all   Please make sure to practice all of our tricky words we have learned so far and please complete the 'f' and 'b' pages in the Sound Book as well as the worksheets. The sound of drums!

The whole of Belmayne E.T have been having great fun learning how to play the drums this week!  The children got to play lots of different drums and bells, using drumsticks. They were all very excited and as you might guess from some of their expressions, I think we may already have some children in our class who would love to learn this instrument! 😁
