Sponsored walk on a sunny Friday

The sponsored walk was a really lovely way to spend some of our Friday. It was a beautiful sunny day, we walked from our school to Father Collins Park, got to play in the playground, have a picnic and even went on a nature hunt! The children seemed to really enjoy it and thank you to all the parents to came with us too.

New sounds and tricky words for December!

Happy December everybody! The children are doing very well with their sounds and blending and we will be going over these during the next couple of weeks. Our first sound this week is 'f'.     The formation rhyme for this sound is;  'Curve at the sky, turn and dive down, bump the line and cross.' The next sound we will be learning is 'b'     The formation rhyme for this sound is;  'Dive down, swim up to the middle, curve around and stop.' We have two tricky words this week so just do your best to learn both of them. They are:         are            all   Please make sure to practice all of our tricky words we have learned so far and please complete the 'f' and 'b' pages in the Sound Book as well as the worksheets. The sound of drums!

The whole of Belmayne E.T have been having great fun learning how to play the drums this week!  The children got to play lots of different drums and bells, using drumsticks. They were all very excited and as you might guess from some of their expressions, I think we may already have some children in our class who would love to learn this instrument! 😁
