Visiting the fish and enjoying the sunshine in Bray!

The children went on their school tour to Sealife in Bray yesterday and after properly chatting to them today they all seemed to have loved it! Some people liked the seahorses, others were so excited to see the 'real' Nemo and Dory fish and one child said they thought the sting ray's smiley face was funny. A lot of children thought the sharks were very cool and a couple of children said the bus was their favourite!



































They were given a lot of information about the different types of sea life in the aquarium but they could remember a huge amount of it, which is great!
 




























I was very proud of the children on their trip because they did good listening and stayed together in their pairs, well done!

New sounds and tricky words for December!

Happy December everybody! The children are doing very well with their sounds and blending and we will be going over these during the next couple of weeks. Our first sound this week is 'f'.     The formation rhyme for this sound is;  'Curve at the sky, turn and dive down, bump the line and cross.' The next sound we will be learning is 'b'     The formation rhyme for this sound is;  'Dive down, swim up to the middle, curve around and stop.' We have two tricky words this week so just do your best to learn both of them. Come on in to the Belmayne Restaurant!

The children have been learning about the restaurant in Aistear over the last two weeks, as well as creating wonderful art by the French artist Henri Matisse, exploring magnets and designing and building their own restaurants and French landmarks.  Have a look at all the things they've been getting up to!
