Assembly Friday 18th of May

The children will have their assembly this Friday the 19th of May at 8.30 am in our classroom and all parents are more than welcome! Each child has been given a line to learn at home so please practice this for the next couple of nights!  Here is the song for them to also listen to at home. Thanks ☺

Weekly homework 14th of May

Happy Monday!  Here is the homework for the week.  - Writing Copy - Write a list of party food. - Tricky word practice - Practice all the words with the games please. We are revising the following in class this week and next week - why, where, who, which, any, many, more, before, other, were, because, want.  - Reading - Continue on with new readers. The children will get a new book every 2 days. Please make sure to sign when you hear them reading as it makes it easier it to track who has read what book.  - Maths Sheet - Using the 'part, part, whole' method, fill in the missing puzzle pieces of the sum and complete their own sums if they want to.  Please practice assembly lines also! ☺

A visit from a Storyteller!

We had a fantastic time listening to the storyteller, Niall De Burca last week. He was so funny and told such a great story that I'd say the children's laughter could be heard all over the school!  What a great way to spend a Tuesday morning! 

Weekly Homework May 8th

Hi everyone, I hope you had a lovely break and enjoyed all the sunshine this weekend. This week for homework we will continue with our; - Writing Copy - Write a list of types of food. - Tricky word practice - Practice all the words with the games please. We are revising the following in class this week and next week - one, by, only, old, like, have, live, give, little, down, what, when - Reading - We have completed the Wonderland reader and we are back to our red/ yellow readers. The children will get a new book every 2 days. Please make sure to sign when you hear them reading as it makes it easier for me to track who has read what book. Some children didn't have their Reading Record Booklets in their folders so if you could just sign the books they have read that would be great! - Finally another sheet went home today all about the topic we are learning about this month - Food. We will be exploring all things food and drink, where it comes from, how it gets from the ...

Under the Sea!

The children were busy exploring different sea habitats and sea creatures over the last couple of weeks. They created their own sea creatures, went deep sea diving, experimented with fresh and salt water and built submarines and ships.  Come and take a look at what they got up to!
